DepEd Schools to Enforce "Gender responsive basic education Policy"

In anticipation of the 2022-2023 school year, DepED will actively integrate its Gender Responsive Basic Education Policy (DepED Order 32, s 2017).

The Department of Education will henceforth "integrate the principles of gender equality, gender equity, gender sensitivity, non-discrimination, and human rights in [...] basic education", as written in the memorandum.

The policy in effect will also "ensure that all learners are protected from all forms of gender-related violence, abuse, exploitation, discrimination, and bullying, and to promote gender equality and non-discrimination in all governance levels."
